Zaina A, PharmD, MI
“Going to Turkey has been the most humbling experience I have had the privilege to be a part of. These beautiful children live in poverty, unsafe conditions and most of all devastation. The feeling of putting smiles on the faces I interacted with aspired me to push to be a better pharmacist and to work harder for these children.”
Deema G, FL
“…the biggest thing I realized from these kids was that they can go through anything in the world, and come out resilient and stronger than ever. When we were with them, you could see how their faces lit up with each word they learned. It was an experience I’ll never forget.”
Mohammad S, WV
“Travelling to Turkey and working with children who have been scarred by the Syrian conflict has been one of the most amazing, eye-opening experiences I have ever been a part of.”
Susan R, FL
“This experience allowed me to see how I can truly make a difference, as an individual, in the lives of Syrians – and in face how we all can. I hope to return to Turkey often, and continue to advocate for humanitarian efforts for the Syrian refugees.”
